County reports 67 new COVID-19 deaths this week

As of Jan. 14, there were 55,848 people who ever were diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ventura County, and 6,870 active cases under quarantine.
This was a 1,354-case jump from the day before. Out of these, 55,848, 659 were in Ojai and 229 in Oak View.
A total of 436 were in the hospital with COVID-19 countywide as of Jan. 14.
Eighty-six were in the ICU Jan. 14, just shy of the county record of 89 set on Tuesday. Zero percent of ICU beds were available, according to a state calculation based on the high percentage of COVID-19 patients in the ICU.
A total of 401 people are reported to have died from the virus in Ventura County. Fifteen were in Ojai and three in Oak View.
Sixty-seven new deaths were reported across the county this week.
